Children at Roskear Primary and Nursery School have been congratulated by local MP George Eustice, following a visit to Linden Homes’ adjacent Boslowen site.
The Conservative MP for Camborne and Redruth, Mr Eustice, visited the former Holman Brothers factory site recently to see how the company was progressing with its 396 home regeneration scheme following an initial visit last summer.
After receiving an update from Linden Homes’ south west managing director, Bill Cawse, on the development, Mr Eustice took time to visit the neighbouring primary school to meet with winning pupils from its art competition. Children at the school had previously been tasked with drawing pictures of Linden Homes’ scheme after a recent trip around the site.
Mr Eustice said: “I continue to be impressed with the Boslowen scheme, along with the lengths that Linden Homes go to in terms of engaging the local community, as is displayed by the brilliant colouring competition held with parents and pupils at Roskear Primary School.”
The MP also had an opportunity to meet with apprentices working at the development and hear of their progress, in partnership with Camborne College.
Mr Cawse added: “I was delighted that Mr Eustice could once again spare the time to visit our scheme and to play a part in our work with the local community. We are proud of the homes that we are creating here for the local community and look forward to completing our work on-site.”
