George attended Kehelland Apple Day, an event organised by Kehelland Horticultural Trust in Camborne. Since 1982 they have provided a rural and horticultural setting for adults with learning and physical disabilities, helping to develop their personal and social skills and encouraging active participation in the local community.
The Apply Day included ‘Source to Sky’ workshops funded by FEAST Cornwall, apple tasting, farmers’ market, arts and crafts stalls, activities for children, wildlife encounters, Cornish ciders, face painting, live entertainment and much more.
George said: ‘The Apple Day was a perfect opportunity for people to come and see for themselves the invaluable work of the Kehelland Trust and their brilliant horticultural work with people with disabilities. I was also privileged enough to try some of their brilliant produce.’
