George Eustice MP welcomed members of the Combined Universities in Cornwall Steering Group and Professor Wendy Purcell to a function in Parliament last Wednesday to talk about the importance of higher education in Cornwall and how that will lead to growth and stability in the Cornish economy.
At the function, George welcomed the audience to Parliament and underlined how the work of CUC is vital to the population of Cornish students seeking higher education.
CUC is a partnership of six universities and colleges working together to give more people the chance to study in Cornwall, and to use the university level education to help our business and communities to thrive.
George Eustice, "It was great to welcome CUC to parliament. I think they are a fantastic example of what collaborative higher education can achieve and I know my parliamentary colleagues were very impressed with the work and results that were showcased. I was particularly impressed by the success stories from recent graduates who have been instilled with the skills and confidence to set up thriving new Cornish businesses."
