George Eustice MP questioned the Home Secretary and the Policing Minister in Parliament today. He asked, "Whether she has considered bringing forward amendments to the Police Reform Bill to ensure that proposed police panels are representative of the geographical areas they will serve". He followed this up by detailing the specific concerns of Cornwall.
In his response, Police Minister Nick Herbert sought to reassure the people of Cornwall that his department have amended the Bill as it goes through the House of Lords to ensure that panels are bound to co-opt members to make them directly representative of geographical areas.
