George Eustice questions whether government quango, English Heritage are doing enough to promote the area's only UNESCO world heritage site, the 'Cornwall and West Devon mining landscape', a significant proportion of which is in Camborne, Redruth and Hayle. Shocked to find that the site is not even mentioned on English Heritage's website, George is keen that the publicly funded body's role should go far beyond safeguarding sites for posterity: “I want to look at ways of bringing it to life, celebrating it and making it a much stronger part of Cornwall’s brand.”
