George Eustice MP was impressed to see hundreds of children turn out to use Cornwall Council's Portable Skate Park as it travelled round the constituency.
George was invited to see the park in action at the Gweal-an-Top adventure playground by Mayor of Redruth, Cllr Ian Thomas, and also witnessed its popularity at the Pengegon Community Fun Day the following day.
Commenting, George Eustice said, "It was great to see so many young people using the Portable Skate Park at Gweal-an-Top and Pengegon. I think is really importantthat they spend as much time as possible doing outdoor and energetic activities, and, speaking to some of the children, it was clear that they are really enjoying themselves. I was also grateful for the detailed lesson in the different tecniques of skateboarding and scootering."
The skate park will be at Gweal-an-Top on Wednesdays in August, as well as in other locations across Cornwall throughout the Summer.
