George Eustice MP was pleased to be invited to Hayle School to talk to GCSE students as they took part in a "Let's Fly" Simulation day.
As part of preparation for their GCSEs, students took part in a simulation day with the School's main hall turned into the arrival and departures area of an airport and the International Room turned into an aircraft cabin. Students were encouraged to converse entirely in either French or Spanish and, in addition to exercising their airport vocabulary, were also encouraged to research the Culture and business opportunities of France and Spain.
George said, "I was very impressed with the 'Let's Fly' initiative. It was great to see students enjoying the learning experience and displaying skills that will be incredibly useful to them in the modern business world. Watching students presenting their business ideas in the target language as past of the Passport to Export competition was particularly inspiring."
UPDATE: The school have produced a video of the day which you can watch here
