Camborne and Redruth MP, George Eustice, was delighted to welcome the Minister of State for Transport, Rt Hon. Theresa Villiers MP, to Cornwall on Wednesday.
Arriving in Redruth as part of a three-day tour of the county, Ms Villiers visited the site of the forthcoming Camborne-Pool-Redruth Transport Package before touring the recently opened Heartlands project. The £25 million new road will create up to 6000 jobs by 2030 and more than half of those in the near term, by 2021.
George Eustice MP said, “It was great to have the opportunity to show the Minister some of the excellent regeneration work in the Camborne and Redruth area and the Heartlands Project and also to have the opportunity to show her the plans for the new east to west link road which the Department for Transport recently approved.”
