Last Thursday George met with the managers of Furniss Foods at their offices in Redruth to discuss business plans with this iconic Cornish institution.
Furniss keep to the traditional method of baking their biscuits with a 60 year old ‘Baker Perkins’ Oven, but are determined to develop their brand into further markets across the UK, alongside their core Cornish sales.
They are creating an exciting new range of biscuits aimed at a national market, and are aiming to launch their new brand in March at various trade fairs. George fully supports their innovative and bold plans, and during his visit was fortunate enough to see firsthand the process of making and shipping a Fairings biscuit.
