Last Friday, George had the chance to visit the South West Adult Placement Scheme, based in Scorrier, and learnt about the fantastic work they do in helping to support vulnerable adults live their lives to the full and develop their full potential.
The Scheme provide support to help hundreds of adults from across Devon and Cornwall ranging in age from 18 to 80, services include long-term placements and short breaks. The Scheme relies on the support of host families as well as a committed team of trainers and coordinators ably headed by service manager, Sally Crombie.
George was impressed by the scheme, saying "It is great to see a scheme that offers a secure home environment to adults who experience difficulties. I was really impressed by thw enthusiastic and flexible approach of the team at SWAPS, and am not surprised that they continue to go from strength to strength."
